On Friday 20th September, Letchworth Elites welcomed four players from Stevenage Ladies Team. The players attended to assist with the football coaching session. This continue’s to develop our relationship with Stevenage Ladies and our sponsorship of Hayley Wood-Thompson.

Hayley Wood-Thompson (Titch) has been involved in women’s football for more than 20 years as a player and a coach. Starting from the age of 9, Hayley began her career with Watford FC, representing the club at all levels from u10s to the Women’s first team.

Hayley turned her passion for football into a career and now Teaches PE at  The John Warner School in Hertfordshire. Over the past 8 years she has coached Hertfordshire schools u16 Girls County team – the same side she played for during her school years and last season lead them to win the South East England Schools Cup.

Hayley is the most capped player for the Hertfordshire FA Women’s County Side and represents Stevenage Ladies FC.

Hayley is a confident and hard working defender who is now in her 4th Season with Stevenage.

She remains an advocate for girls in football and continues to assist girls in the game through her work in schools and coaching.

Season 2019/2020 marks her 23rd Season in the game.
