We are delighted to announce that today 18th February Jack Wilshere has become a working Director of NCF Elites.

In August NCF Elites had the pleasure of inviting Jack down to our set-up. Jack took the opportunity to talk with each group individually after watching them in action during their training session. He then spoke to the whole group collectively offering them advice on their football journey ahead as well as the opportunity to play in the Gothia Youth World Cup.

A few weeks passed and Jack followed this up by contacting myself and Paul for a meeting. Jack was really impressed by our players and the set-up and was keen to become a part of the NCF Elites.

What does this opportunity mean to our players?
Firstly Jack will be a hands on Director, helping to develop and increase participation in the Elites programme. We will now be known as Jack Wilshere’s NCF Elites He will when his professional football commitments allow, attend training sessions, coach our Elites group and generally be part of the development and implementation of our programme

Nick Cook said ‘This is really exciting news, our Elites programme has been set-up to provide talented players with opportunities to showcase their ability at the biggest tournaments on the planet. The platform, environment and mentoring we create for our players has always been a key fundamental of our programme, with Jack on board this can only help open up more opportunities and inspire our players to keep pushing forward.’

Jack followed up saying ‘It is a real pleasure to be involved. These are a great group of boys who have a hunger to improve and develop their game. I am really looking forward to seeing what the future holds for us’.
